A magazine born on the Bosphorus
Anlat Istanbul began with a single ferry ride. Our founder, crossing from Karaköy to Kadıköy at sunset, realized every passenger carried an untold Istanbul — a grandmother's recipe, a rooftop love story, a vanished cinema. We launched to give those voices a home.
Today we are an independent editorial studio producing longform features, short documentaries, and travel narratives that frame the city through its most human details and cinematic horizons.

Our team of twelve includes a former documentary cinematographer, a street photographer turned features editor, and researchers who have walked every district from Eyüp to Üsküdar. We collaborate with local historians, ferry captains, and bazaar artisans to keep our reporting honest and our city curious.
